Following in the USS Albacore's footsteps, the USS Marlin is a fully functional R/C submarine kit. The USS Marlin is made of vacuum formed styrene which is durable, shock resistant, and easy to paint. The kit includes: hull, sail, and control surfaces, easy access pressure hull, complete drive system, stainless steel propeller shaft, cast 5-blade propeller, complete ballast system, and detailed building instructions. In fact everything is included with the kit needed to get you in the water except speed control, battery (6 cell 7.2 volt pack), and radio. Other than a model stand, no scratch building of any parts is required to build this submarine model! The ballast system is pump-operated and consists of a high volume, low draw reversible pump. The optional PBU Propel Back Up system can be added to give an extra failsafe capability. (Length - 45", Beam - 4 3/4") |
